Description
CORNISOL is a corneal storage solution for storage of
human cornea suitable for keratoplasty for up to 14 days under refrigeration
(2-8°C) and is supplied in a 20mL glass vial. It is a solution with base medium
(nutrient & electrolyte), glycosaminoglycans (membrane stabilizer), buffers
(to maintain pH), osmotic agent, antibiotics, cell metabolism enhancer,
L-Glutamine (energy production & prevent degradation), amino acids, ATP
precursors, vitamins, coenzymes (cofactor for enzymatic reactions) and
additional supplements.

Special components like metabolic enhancer,
coenzymes, and vitamins are added to attain a stable corneal storage
medium.

No bovine derived components to avoid BSE/TSE prion
transmission.

Dual antibiotics reduces the risk of infection.

pH colour indicator helps in detection of unacceptable
deviation in pH.
